Ball’s Falls Conservation Area
Ball’s Falls is located on Page 21, Grid B-22 (Jordan, ON) in the 2018 MapArt Ontario Back Road Atlas.
Nestled between Hamilton and Niagara is the treasure of a conservation area “Ball’s Falls” which offers not only the wonder of nature but a slice of Canadian History as well. The titular water fall can be viewed from two different vantage points (depending on how far you’d like to walk) and it is truly a marvel to behold. The high water levels make for a powerful display this time of year.
Another fantastic feature of Ball’s Falls is a wonderfully preserved 1800's hamlet that includes a Church, Flour Mill, Black Smith, family dwelling and more. it’s presence encourages patrons young and old to learn about Canada’s history through exploration.
For the hiker, Ball’s Falls intersects with the Bruce Trail and gives a wonderful opportunity to walk the shore of the falls and get a close look at it’s beauty as well as some terrific exercise, I’ll warn you, there are some stairs. Find more about it here.
